Melbourne’s city business district (CBD) has something for everyone to enjoy during a weekend escape including great theaters, five star restaurants, family style restaurants, pubs, shopping, museums and more. It is also very close to great restaurants, shopping and nightclubs. Those who like to gamble, will enjoy The Crown Casino, and those with appetites will indulge on Southbank, which is lined with fabulous restaurants and cafes. Shoppers will find lovely souvenirs at the Queen Victoria Market, a short stroll from Chinatown.
St. Kilda has incredible bakeries that are located in and around the beach area. St Kilda is also home to Luna Park, which is an amusement park that has been existence since 1912. The beach area is popular among sunbathers and surfers, but there are plenty of areas to escape to if you don’t like a crowded beach.
Both the CBD and St Kilda are accessible by tram, so if you are staying in one place, you can take the tram line over to the other to see what both areas have to offer. If you are using a limousine service, all the better because the driver will point out the best places to go and see in both areas.
